"The Law Offices of Shawn Khorrami is conducting an ongoing
investigation of Bally Total Fitness membership contracts executed in
the state of California for a class action filed against Bally in
2002. If you signed a contract with Bally in California, regardless
of whether you have been sent to collections on your contract, we are
interested in speaking with you. We are also interested in speaking
with individuals who have executed a Bally contract in another state,
but have had problems canceling your Bally contract. Please call Matt
Bailey at (818) 947-5111 or e-mail your name and phone number to

Re: Important info for perspective members
Learn to spell CONTRACT, you idiot. In defense of unsatisfied members,
my complaint is not so much "I got screwed into a contract", as Ballys
is an unethical company and others need to have enough information to
make smart decisions. I read the contract and was satisfied with its
payment terms. However, brain-dead, a lot of us want out because Ballys
does not live up to their end of the bargain!! You need to understand
what's really going on. Most Ballys gyms are a nasty, filthy,
bacteria-filled mess! Their trainers don't show up, they are rude and
obnoxious, they actually DO lie to consumers about the 3-day
cancellation period, the machines are not maintained, its a crowded,
sweaty place, the music sucks and they think I want to pay for THIS? I
don't' know about you, but I feel if someone does not live up to the
promises they make in a contract WE BOTH SIGNED, then they are in
breach and must make amends!!! They certainly expect that of ME! I also
believe the contract is misleading at best, it REALLY IS A LOAN, not a
membership pact. Most people can read, they may not understand what
they read, and Ballys depends on that. Then they have a collection
agency that works right along with them to take up the slack when
someone wants out! People want out for many different reasons!! And I
see that Ballys doesn't live up to their promise to cancel contracts
for those who live too far to commute either, so what's up with
that??!!! You really think, this company with all its lying,
underhanded, ambushing, Nazi sales practices is worth you sticking up
for it and telling us we're whining???? How much are they paying you?
Please, you sound like Bally's favorite kinda member....deaf, dumb and
blind!!!

Bally screws the military!!
I joined the service and was told that I could just write to corporate
with a copy of enlistment paperwork to cancel membership. No strings
attached. "there is a clause for the military" YEAH RIGHT! I did what I
was told and even got a letter confirming. I went away, all my stuff in
storage, everything was fine until 8 years later. EIGHT!!!! Guess what
pops up in collections on my credit??? Not once in 8 years, but now it
amazingly appears. My paperwork lost in a fire that almost killed my
family, and these scumbags want me to pay $800 or produce the letter of
cancellation. They said they had no paperwork of the incident....not
even the copies of my enlistment paperwork? BALLYS IS A SCAM EVEN TO
UNCLE SAM!!! What a great fitness center...maybe they should
relocate to Iraq where we can blow their shit up.

Bally's sucks! I did not know and as not told when I
signed up that I was actually signing a loan for membership. |
BAD CREDIT
If you will
complain and will not
pay membership fees for any reason, they will sell your
member account to a collection agency. |
The IPFA Fraud
The International Physical
Fitness Association is not about setting standards nor does it
represent those people wanting to be fit. It is about membership.... |
